Raising Funds for Children’s Play Scooters at Ipswich Hospital.

At Hudson Group, supporting our local community is incredibly important to us. Following the success of our previous fundraising initiative, where we donated a bench for the children’s ward outdoor area, we’re proud to once again support Ipswich & Colchester Hospitals Charity with a new campaign focused on children’s wellbeing and play.

This time, we’re raising funds to provide Winther Viking Scooters for the children’s department outdoor area at Ipswich Hospital, helping create moments of fun, freedom, and normality for young patients during their hospital stay.

Hospital stays can be incredibly challenging for children and their families, and access to outdoor play equipment can make a meaningful difference by encouraging fresh air, movement, and positive distractions away from the ward environment.

Having spent considerable time around hospital environments with her son, Newlyn, over the years, our Sales Operations Director, Jo Day, understands how important these smaller moments can be for young patients and their families.

“Something as simple as outdoor play equipment can have such a positive impact on a child’s day,” Jo explained. “We wanted to support something that encourages play, movement, and happiness for children who may be going through very difficult circumstances.”

Throughout the campaign, Hudson Group will donate towards the fundraising effort for every order placed with us, meaning our customers can help support the initiative at no extra cost.

“We’re proud to support Ipswich & Colchester Hospitals Charity once again, and we hope this project brings plenty of smiles to the children using the outdoor space for years to come,” Jo added.
